If you would like an easy
way, without passwords, to check your currencies and missions, you need
to get familiar with AuxInfo. It’s confusing at first, but you can save
your “drill down” so that you can come back to YOUR flotilla, saved in
your favorites.
Here is a
step-by-step procedure to get to your flotilla and what to do then.
1) Go to https://www.auxinfo.uscg.gov/ and click on
Continue.....
3) Click on on the left menu on “Auxdata Cubes”
4) Click on “AUXDATA Member Activities”.
You can play with those other choices later.
5) Now you have two ways to do almost the same thing. You see the
list on the right and the tabs in gray across the top are the same. I
will give you two ways to enter, you choose which you like best
- On the left list,
click on the + for All Units; then U.S.C.G; LANTAREA;(now move the
dividing line
to the left to see what you have by placing your cursor on the line until you
see the right/left arrow); click on LANTAREA East; District 7; Seventh; Division
8; Your Flotilla. (We will stop here but you can go on to only your
name, if you wish.) RIGHT click on the FLOTILLA NAME and when the list
comes up, select filter. You now have all in your flotilla listed
across the top and missions, down the side. Now to the other option:
- Across the top, select All Units, then slide your cursor over these fields as the
selection pops up; U.S.C.G; LANTAREA; LANTAREA East; District 7; Seventh;
Division 8 (your will have to move the selection field down to see it);
Your Flotilla. (Again, we will stop here but you can go on to only your
name, if you wish.) You now have all in your flotilla listed across the
top and missions, down the side.
- Continuing from here
assuming you want to be at the flotilla level.
- The sixth tab in gray on the top says “All Years”, click on that
and click on the year you want.
- If you want to get out the people that have not participated for whatever
reason, click the “Zero Suppression” icon at the bottom that looks like this
.
If you want to see the names on the left click on the icon at the
bottom that looks like this: You
can also bookmark the screen by clicking on the icon at the bottom
that looks like this: and selecting
Prepare Bookmarks.
- On the top left just below the words “Cognos
PowerPlay Web Explorer”, there is a gray right arrow:
Click
on the gray arrow. to get a full screen to work with.
- The far right of the same gray tabs on top has an arrow
pointing to a bar that
opens up a second line of choices. When you click on that arrow, you
will see Claimants and Measures.
- “MEASURES” will be used for anyone looking for VE or VSC counts;
MDVs (that’s what they call it), PE classes, etc. will find the answer
in this selection.
- IF you are looking for “Trainee” hours, you must click on the
“All Positions” tab and scroll to “Trainee”.
- To print, you must go off full page and click on
at the bottom and choose either EXPORT PDF or EXPORT CSV.
- Click on one of the bar charts and you will see who is doing how
much in your flotilla. Play with this, it’s fun!
If you have any
problems, first check your pop-up blockers as this may be the first
obstacle to overcome. If you get the files from National and can read .pdf
files, you are probably all right in the pop-ups. |
