Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program Course

The  Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program (RBSVP) program provides boating safety information to marine dealers.  Auxiliarists visit dealers, service companies, retail outlets, etc. regularly to supply them with boating safety information and material.  Dealers also help promote boating safety through publicizing local Auxiliary public education courses and courtesy marine examinations.  Great strides toward an ultimate goal of safe and enjoyable boating can be made by convincing the marine dealer of the importance in providing safety information with each sale of a boat or related equipment.

For qualification as a Program Visitor (PV) the member must pass the current PV Qualification Examination and satisfactorily conduct two marine dealer visits under the supervision of a currently qualified PV.  A PV may annually retain qualification by fulfilling the following requirements:

  • Conduct at least four Marine Dealer Visits each calendar year.
  • Attending, when required, one approved VSC/MDV workshop each calendar year.
