Flotilla 87 AOR

The Auxiliary Instructor program qualifies members as Instructors for public education (PE) and member training (MT) courses. For qualification as an Instructor, the member must pass the current IT Qualification Examination and satisfactorily conduct a ten to thirty minute training event in accordance with the training material. The member must then conduct a one to two hour training event using chapters from any of the approved PE or MT courses.

You can achieve the status of an Instructor by passing an open book, three hour time limit examination with a score of 90% or better. The exam may be taken online.     An IT may annually retain qualification by fulfilling the following requirements:

Teach at least two hours or function as an Instructor Aide for four hours each calendar year. Attending, when required, one approved Instructor workshop each calendar year.
